What I can provide for you

My pricing is customized to your unique needs. Instead of trying to fit you into a set package, we’ll put your budget to use in the most effective way possible. Here are the website development services I can provide:

  • Clean, modern, beautiful design
  • Mobile compatible / responsive design
  • Integration with your email service provider (Mailchimp, Aweber, etc.) — or I can set this up for you
  • Integration with Shopify (buy buttons & cart)
  • Sliders, galleries, countdowns, progress bars, and more!
  • Search engine optimization
  • As many or as few pages as you want
  • Social media profile integration
  • Custom logo design
  • Blog post migration (if you don’t currently use WordPress)
  • Blog post optimization (for the new design)
  • Matching social media header images
  • Analytics integration
  • Malware scanner & WordPress security
  • 1-hour training on using your new site

How it Works

Hiring a website designer can feel overwhelming, so I want to be transparent about my process so you can see how easy this will be for you!

1. Pre-production questionnaire

After you get in touch, I’ll send you a questionnaire asking about your brand, your website needs and preferences, your favorite colors, and so on — many people prefer this to a phone call, since it gives you time to think about what you want. Next, we’ll set up a 1/2 hour call if necessary.

Questionnaire
Contract

2. Contract and money stuff

Once we determine what services you want and how many pages your site will need, we’ll finalize pricing, and I’ll send over a contract (this protects both of us!). 50% payment will be due upon signing. At this time, you’ll also send me any assets I’ll need — headshots, any graphics you already have, etc.

3. Design mockups

Next, I’ll mock up your homepage, your blog (if you want one), and a few inner website pages. These will be JPG images that will look identical to the final coded pages except for scroll-down and mouseover effects. After oohing and ahhing, you can provide me one round of feedback — so be sure to include all of it at once!

Mockups
Construction

4. Website construction

After receiving the remaining 50% payment, I’ll build your site in WordPress on a staging server. It will look just like the mockups, but with full functionality and all of the pages built out. You’ll be able to provide one round of feedback — minor tweaks, not big design changes. I’ll implement any changes and ask for final approval.

5. Launch and continuing services

Once you approve the site on the staging server, I’ll migrate the site to your hosting provider (or set you up with a new hosting provider if necessary) under your own URL. After your site is live, you can hire me for any additional services — email marketing, blog optimization, SEO, new pages as needed, site maintenance, etc. — that weren’t part of our original contract.
