If you’re traveling to a new city, or even if you live in a densely populated city, you’re more prone to fall victim to street scams. Most pickpockets and street scammers specifically target obvious-looking tourists, so if you don’t keep your wits about you, your wallet might disappear from your purse or back pocket.

These scam artists use a wide range of tactics to distract and deceive you, and many times, their marks don’t even realize their wallet or phone is missing until the next time they reach for it. Just The Flight put together this amazing infographic of the top pickpocket and scam tactics to watch out for. I got really excited about this, as several of these scams appear in my novel STEALING PARIS.
